Does she like me or am I in the dreaded friend zone?

I would never say your stuck in the friend zone, that is just a made up thing for guys who don't want to put in the effort. Some of the stuff you mentioned that happened more than a month ago, none of that matters, and don't dwell on a dance that was 5 months ago. But the more relevant stuff points to she likes you more than a friend. I would normally say go for it again, you have nothing to loose. But since you both are going to college next year, it will be hard to start a relationship even if you are close. I agree with your family, wait til summer is over. I personally would ask her to star gaze with me, kiss her and make her my summer fling.
