In professional wrestling, what to you think makes a good finisher?

A mandatory for any professional wrestler (be it indy circuit or big time) is to have a finisher. Weather it be an aerial ault, an attack on the mat, or just a showstopper of a solution to the problem that is the finish. In you own words, what do you think makes a finishing maneuver a showstopper?
