What right the opposition has to stall the proceedings of the Parliament ? Any rules for that ?

The whole winter session of Parliament was disturbed by the opposition. They are ready to discuss the scam through the media but not in parliament. Why they are afraid of the parliament ? What they are trying to hide and do not want to speak in a live telecast ?
