As a uninsured motorist what should I do about the guy that just totaled his car on the back of my van?

He was drunk and rear ended my parked vehicle while I was in the house watching tv. I called the police he went to jail for DUI and drug possesion. His car was towed and the police never asked for my insurance, good thing because I currently have none. My vehicle is driveable, but I don't know if I am entitled to anything from his insurance company. I know my vehicle should not even be on the street, but I have no where else to put it while I save money to get my insurance back.
