Do you think animals have souls?

I personally believe that animals have souls. They have a personality, right? I understand that this is partially caused by their brain chemistry, but they can feel sad if you abuse them if you treat them well and suddenly snap. They have emotions and can react, and also, they have a sense of right and wrong. My cat will act kind of strange if he has done something bad while everyone in the house was gone, even if we didn't know about it for a little bit (once we caught him he would run and be all afraid), but if he hasn't done anything wrong, he will act all perky, like he is proud of himself. I'm just curious what everyone else thinks. :)
