Leaking exaust header?

In describing your exhaust leak, you did not say clearly if the problem showed up in the headers attached to the block or else wear in the exhaust system. Where did the smoke test show where the leak is at ? If the headers, could the leak be coming through the header attachment bolt holes ? If so,use an aero type hi-temp sealer.
